Job Title: Mechanical Engineer – Piping Design & Stress AnalysisLocation: Pune, India (with initial integration period in Spain – up to 4 months)Employment Type: Full-TimeDepartment: EngineeringOur client is expanding their engineering team to support a major plant expansion project. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate on high-impact projects and help build long-term engineering capability within the team. The role begins with an integration period in Spain, where you’ll align with central engineering teams on tools, processes, and expectations. After this period, you will continue working from Pune with full ownership of deliverables and a clear mandate to drive the project forward.Key Responsibilities- Interpret P&IDs and 3D layout drawings to develop accurate piping routes - Perform piping stress calculations and pipe support analysis - Model piping systems in AutoCAD and Plant 3D - Prepare pre-manufacturing isometric drawings for fabrication - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams - Participate in online management meetings and schedule reviews - Own and deliver assigned objectives with accountability for quality and timelines - Contribute to the development of scalable engineering capability - Adapt to evolving project requirements with professionalismQualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline - Proficiency in AutoCAD and Plant 3D - Experience with piping stress analysis tools (e.g., CAESAR II, AutoPIPE) - Strong knowledge of piping codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, etc.) - Ability to interpret P&IDs, layout drawings, and isometrics - Excellent communication skills and cultural sensitivityEssential Attributes- Experience with pipe rack design and modular support systems - Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment - Ability to work independently while staying connected to global teams - Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative mindset - Proven ability to meet deadlines and deliver results under pressure - Commitment to personal ownership and schedule disciplinePreferred Attributes- Familiarity with industrial plant operations - Spanish language capabilityWhy Join?This is a rare opportunity to work on a high-impact project, develop engineering expertise, and be part of a collaborative international team.
