This role will replace our current SEO team structure, shifting from aggressive traffic-building tactics to a holistic approach that supports our thriving social channels. The ideal candidate will maintain site integrity, optimize content for AI-era search, and collaborate with our SMO manager to create unified digital campaigns.Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement SEO strategies focused on technical site health, including audits for speed, mobile optimization, crawlability, and core web vitals. - Conduct keyword research and on-page optimization with an emphasis on user intent, E-E-A-T principles, and adaptation to AI search engines. - Maintain and update website content (e.g., blogs) without aggressive third-party submissions, prioritizing quality over quantity to avoid penalties. - Integrate SEO with SMO by optimizing social profiles for search visibility, leveraging social data for SEO insights, and distributing content across platforms like YouTube to drive cross-channel engagement. - Collaborate with the SMO manager to align strategies, such as using social signals to enhance SEO performance and vice versa. - Monitor and analyze performance using tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, and social metrics; report on organic traffic, engagement, and ROI with recommendations for sustainable improvements. - Stay updated on industry trends, including AI impacts on search, and adapt strategies accordingly without relying on outdated tactics. - Work cross-functionally to ensure website health supports overall business goals, compensating for traffic shifts through social synergies.Required Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience). - 5-8 years of proven SEO experience, with a track record of maintaining healthy websites and integrating with social media. - Proficiency in SEO tools (e.g., Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz) and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Search Console). - Strong understanding of SMO principles and experience in multi-channel digital marketing. - Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills. - Adaptability to AI-driven search changes and passion for holistic digital strategies.Preferred Qualifications:- Certifications in SEO or digital marketing (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot). - Experience in content creation or management for blogs and social platforms. - Familiarity with web development basics (e.g., HTML, CSS) for technical optimizations.What We Offer:- Competitive salary and benefits package. - Opportunity to shape a forward-thinking digital strategy. - Collaborative environment with a high-performing SMO team.
