Key Responsibilities: Curriculum Development and Implementation: Design and implement a comprehensive visual arts curriculum aligned with the CBSE framework. Develop lesson plans that incorporate inquiry-based learning, focusing on conceptual understanding and student agency. Integrate visual arts with other subjects through interdisciplinary units of inquiry. Instruction and Facilitation: Provide engaging and differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of students. Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and tools to facilitate artistic expression and creativity. Encourage students to explore different mediums and techniques in visual arts. Assessment and Reporting: Assess student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback. Maintain accurate records of student achievements and prepare reports in line with IB requirements. Conduct student-led conferences and contribute to the development of student portfolios. Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with CBSE practices and visual arts education. Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the school's professional learning community. Community Engagement: Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities. Organize and participate in school events, exhibitions, and other community-building activities. Advocate for the visual arts within the school and broader community. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts, Art Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). Teaching certification or credential in visual arts education. Strong understanding of the CBSE philosophy and curriculum. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
