About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Data Privacy Consultant with hands-on experience in data privacy and protection frameworks. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of data privacy regulations and a technical implementation background to assist clients in assessing, designing, and implementing effective data privacy solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the implementation of data privacy frameworks, policies, and procedures in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct data privacy assessments, gap analysis, and risk evaluations.
  • Support the implementation of privacy impact assessments (PIA) and data protection impact assessments (DPIA).
  • Assist clients in complying with local and global privacy regulations such as DPDP Act, GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable frameworks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement privacy-by-design principles in products and systems.
  • Support technical implementation of privacy tools, automation, and data discovery solutions.
  • Prepare detailed reports, document findings, and provide recommendations for remediation.
  • Stay up to date with evolving data privacy laws, frameworks, and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in data privacy, data protection, or information security.
  • Understanding of privacy regulations like DPDP Act, GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA, and ISO 27701.
  • Hands-on experience in privacy tool implementation, data mapping, and handling DSAR (Data Subject Access Requests) is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of security concepts such as data encryption, anonymization, and access controls.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with an eye for detail.

Preferred Certifications (Added Advantage)

  • CIPP/E (Certified Information Privacy Professional – Europe)
  • CIPT (Certified Information Privacy Technologist)
  • CISM / ISO 27701 Lead Implementer
  • Any other recognized data privacy or information security certification.

Soft Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with clients and internal teams.
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn emerging privacy technologies and frameworks.
