About The Role:

ValGenesis is looking for passionate and experienced Product Owners to join our rapidly growing team. You'll be central to the overall success and strategic direction of a ValGenesis product line. You'll work closely with Product Management on product strategy and empower our development teams to deliver high-value capabilities that directly impact our Product Backlog Management: Work closely with stakeholders to create and continuously maintain a product backlog, ensuring items are prioritized based on business value and strategic alignment.

- Vision & Communication: Develop and clearly communicate the product goals and vision to the development team, ensuring everyone understands the "why" behind their work.

- Voice of the Customer: Represent the voice of the customer by actively collaborating with prospective users to deeply understand and anticipate their needs, translating these insights into clear, actionable product requirements.

- Backlog Item Communication: Create and explicitly communicate product backlog items, ensuring clarity and transparency for the development team.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Professional Services/Delivery, Support, Engineering, and Quality Assurance teams to ensure that the right customer problems are accurately identified and effectively solved.

- Value Assessment & Prioritization: Assess the value of features, develop compelling business cases, and prioritize stories and epics, ensuresing the team's efforts are focused on delivering maximum value aligned with the overall product strategy.

- Acceptance & Release: Define clear acceptance criteria for features, review completed work, and make the ultimate decision on when work is truly ready to ship to customers.

- Progress Monitoring & Communication: Monitor and clearly communicate progress, impediments, and key updates both within the team and to external stakeholders.

- Impediment Mitigation: Play an active role in mitigating any impediments impacting the successful completion of Release/Sprint Goals.

- Issue Prioritization: Participate actively in the prioritization of issue resolution, ensuring critical problems are addressed promptly.

Required Qualifications & Experience

- Product Owner Experience: 3+ years of proven Product Owner experience.

- Metrics-Driven: Experience using a range of metrics to effectively monitor the success and health of products.

- Agile Delivery: Proven experience working with agile teams to continuously ship customer value.

- Prioritization Methods: Experience applying structured prioritization methods to manage and resolve competing priorities.

- Customer Focus: A solid track record of addressing customer needs, with a strong focus on connecting development teams directly with users, rather than just acting as a proxy.

- Stakeholder Management: Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships across all levels of the business.

- Agile Product Management: Experience acting as a product manager in an agile development and rapid prototyping environment.
