Job Description : Seeking a Senior Data Analyst with strong expertise in database technologies to design, develop, and implement business intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will possess advanced Power BI skills along with hands-on experience in database design, development, and optimization. This role involves working with large datasets, ensuring data integrity, and creating impactful dashboards and reports to support business : Power BI Expertise : - Proficient in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power BI Mobile.- Advanced knowledge of DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and Power Query (M Language).- Expertise in creating custom visuals, slicers, and drill-through reports.- Knowledge of ETL tools and processes.- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and cloud platforms like Azure Data Factory or AWS.- Ability to work with APIs and other third-party tools for data integration.Database Knowledge : - Hands-on experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL).- Proficient in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database scripts.- Strong understanding of data modelling concepts (e.g., star schema, snowflake schema).- Experience with indexing, query tuning, and database optimization techniques.ETL and Data Integration : - Experience with ETL tools (e.g., SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Informatics).- Knowledge of cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP for data storage and processing.- Ability to work with APIs, JSON, and flat files for data extraction.Other Tools & Technologies : - Knowledge of Azure Synapse Analytics, Data bricks, or other big data platforms.- Familiarity with Python or R for data analysis (optional but preferred).- Advanced Excel skills, including VBA (preferred).QUALIFICATIONS : Mandatory Skills required : - Power BI- Power Query- DAX Queries- Python- Azure Data Factory- SQL- SSRS- Marketing Analytics tools- Bachelors degree in computer science / related engineering field OR equivalent experience in a related field- 7+ years of software development experience- Experience with building data pipelines- Possess the ability to understand business processes and design reports.- Good written, verbal communication skills- Great team player (ref:hirist.tech)
