Description : Position : Vision+ CMS Developer (Drive)Experience : 5 - 9 YearsLocation : Bangalore, PuneJob Summary : We are seeking an experienced Vision Plus CMS Developer with 5 to 9 years of hands-on experience in the Vision Plus Card Management System (CMS) environment. This role requires strong technical proficiency in mainframe technologies, including COBOL, CICS, and VSAM, coupled with deep functional knowledge of Vision+ modules, particularly First Vision and online processing. The developer will be responsible for end-to-end development, testing, and maintenance of critical card application features, working independently within an Agile methodology and ensuring high-quality, defect-free code.Job Description : Vision Plus Development and Technical Expertise : - Design, develop, and maintain high-volume, mission-critical applications within the Vision Plus Card Management System (CMS) platform, utilizing mandatory expertise in COBOL and CICS for transactional online processing.- Demonstrate strong, hands-on experience with VSAM file structures and database manipulation for efficient data access and management within the Vision+ environment.- Possess deep technical and functional knowledge of core Vision Plus components, with mandatory exposure to online modules and specific experience in the Card Application and First Vision subsystems.- Utilize and configure Vision Plus simulators, specifically the CMS Simulator CDM, to accurately test new features, regression scenarios, and system integration points prior to deployment.- Ensure all code development adheres to strict performance standards, minimizing MIPS consumption and maximizing transaction throughput.Project Execution and Lifecycle Management : - Take full ownership of assigned projects and development assignments, demonstrating the ability to work independently from requirements analysis through to final implementation.- Apply sound knowledge of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), including test case development, execution, and integration of automated testing tools where applicable.- Rigorously adhere to the Defect Life Cycle, ensuring effective logging, tracking, and timely technical closure of all reported software defects in collaboration with QA teams.- Contribute effectively as an individual developer within an Agile methodology framework (e.g., Scrum/Kanban), participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.Functional Knowledge and System Maintenance : - Apply strong functional knowledge of credit/debit card processing workflows, including application processing, account maintenance, authorization, and settlement processes within Vision Plus.- Support system stabilization and production support activities, quickly diagnosing and resolving complex issues related to the Vision+ CMS application and its interfaces.- Collaborate with system analysts and business stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into robust, technical solutions within the Vision Plus architecture.Required Skills & Qualifications : - Experience : Mandatory 5 9 years of relevant, hands-on development experience in Vision Plus CMS.- Mainframe Technology : Mandatory strong hands-on experience and knowledge in COBOL, CICS, and VSAM.- Vision Plus Modules : Good functional knowledge of Vision+ and mandatory exposure to online modules, Card Application, and First Vision.- Tools : Strong exposure to and experience with Vision Plus CMS Simulators CDM.- Methodology : Sound knowledge of the Software Testing Life Cycle, Defect Life Cycle, and experience with Agile methodology.- Work Style : Proven ability to work independently on complex assignments and projects.- Education : Graduate degree (Assumed).Preferred Skills : - Other V+ Modules : Exposure to other key Vision Plus modules such as FAS (Financial Authorization System) or LTS (Letter Tracking System).- Databases : Experience with mainframe database systems like DB2 and their integration with Vision Plus.- Version Control : Familiarity with mainframe change management and version control systems (Endevor).- Testing Tools : Experience with automated testing tools specific to the mainframe environment.
