Honorary Council Member — TPE Bharat National Endowment Council (BNEC)TheThawer Philanthropies Endowment (TPE) , a global philanthropic consortium with $1 billion endowment under theThawer Family Office,has launched theBharat National Endowment Council (BNEC)to advance education, ethics, and institutional endowment governance across India. The Council functions as a student- and civic-led advisory body focused on developing university-level endowments, fostering leadership integrity, and institutionalizing capital stewardship across India’s higher-education ecosystem.Role Overview As anHonorary Council Member , you will represent TPE’s mission to institutionalize transparency, fiscal discipline, and long-term ethical governance across educational bodies. Members will coordinate with regional student unions, educational institutions, and civic organizations to establish endowment frameworks, recruit future leaders, and promote sustainable education-financing models. This is anhonorary appointment , renewable annually, contingent upon performance and discretion of theChair and Co-Chair of the Thawer Philanthropies Endowment .Key Responsibilities Engage student and community leadership to establish local TPE-aligned endowment structures. Oversee outreach, onboarding, and mentorship for emerging student leaders and council delegates. Develop policy recommendations on university governance, funding transparency, and capital utilization. Represent TPE in institutional forums, academic partnerships, and civic dialogues. Deliver measurable progress on assigned initiatives and regional participation targets. Submit quarterly impact and governance reports to the TPE Secretariat.Compensation Structure This is anon-executive, honorary role . However, in recognition of measurable impact and consistent engagement, members may receive anAnnual Discretionary Performance Honorariumofup to $25,000 (₹2.08 million) ,awarded solely at the discretion of the Chair and Co-Chair , contingent upon completion of defined deliverables and adherence to Council governance standards.Qualifications: Demonstrated leadership experience in student governance, civic organizations, or educational reform. Strong ethical compass and proven commitment to public service or institutional integrity. Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and strategic coordination skills. Familiarity with endowment or philanthropic governance is preferred but not mandatory.Terms & Reporting Term:1 year, renewable based on performance.
