About the Role :We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Senior Machine Learning Engineer to lead end-to-end development and deployment of large-scale ML systems. You will join a cutting-edge team building personalized, AI-driven experiences for PlayStation users, impacting millions globally. This role blends deep technical expertise in ML, DL, and AI with leadership responsibilities, working cross-functionally across Engineering and Product teams.Youll drive innovation using advanced ML technologies, contribute to architectural decisions, and mentor other team members, ensuring consistent delivery of high-impact solutions.Key Responsibilities :Design, develop, and deploy large-scale ML/DL models for production use in areas such as :- Content personalization- Predictive safety- Search and recommendation systems- Time series forecasting- Conversational AI/Virtual assistants- Build and optimize data pipelines, model training workflows, and scalable deployment architectures.- Lead ad-hoc POCs and R&D initiatives on new AI/ML technologies (e.g., LLMs, Transfer Learning, NLP models).- Translate business problems into clear ML problem statements and propose optimized technical solutions.- Configure and execute A/B testing and define evaluation metrics to validate model performance both offline and online.- Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and Analysts to understand requirements and deliver business impact.- Mentor junior engineers, conduct training sessions, and support team upskilling through knowledge-sharing initiatives.- Ensure best practices in code quality, version control, CI/CD pipelines, and ML monitoring.Primary Skills Required :Core Domains :- Data Science- Machine Learning- Artificial Intelligence- Statistics- Deep LearningML Techniques :- NLP, Text Classification, Language Modeling- Linear Regression, Classification, Clustering- Transfer Learning- Forecasting models & algorithms- Large Language Models (LLMs)ML Frameworks & Tools:- TensorFlow, PyTorch, MLlib- Databricks, Spark, Python, SQL- Kubernetes, Jenkins, PrometheusQualifications :- Masters degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field (PhD preferred).- 5+ years of hands-on experience in data science and production ML systems (preferably with consumer applications).- Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, or Java.- Solid understanding of statistics, A/B testing, and data analytics.- Industry experience in gaming, online safety, recommendation engines, or conversational AI is a strong plus.Good to Have :- Exposure to SQL and Data Analysis tools- Familiarity with gaming industry products, user behavior modeling, or personalization techniquesSoft Skills & Leadership :- Proven ability to lead AI/ML initiatives across multiple projects- Experience in agile/Scrum methodologies- Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration- Capability to mentor and train junior engineers and team members (ref:hirist.tech)
