The Assistant General Manager (AGM) of Operations is responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective operation of hospital services. This role involves coordinating with various departments, managing staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and implementing strategies to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.


Key Responsibilities:


Operations Management:

  • Assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hospital.
  • Ensure all departments operate efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor operational policies and procedures.

Staff Management:

  • Assist in recruiting, training, and supervising hospital staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
  • Address staff issues and foster a positive work environment.

Patient Care Coordination:

  • Ensure high standards of patient care and satisfaction.
  • Resolve patient complaints and feedback in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with medical and administrative staff to optimize patient care processes.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Assist in preparing for and managing inspections and audits.
  • Stay updated with changes in healthcare laws and regulations.

Financial Management:

  • Assist in developing and managing the hospital’s budget.
  • Monitor financial performance and implement cost-control measures.
  • Oversee billing, coding, and insurance procedures.

Quality Improvement:

  • Implement and oversee quality improvement programs.
  • Analyze data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance hospital services and patient outcomes.

Strategic Planning:

  • Participate in long-term planning and strategy development.
  • Identify opportunities for growth and development.
  • Collaborate with senior management to achieve hospital goals.

Communication:

  • Serve as a liaison between hospital staff, patients, and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate effective communication within the hospital.
  • Represent the hospital in meetings, conferences, and community events.

Technology and Innovation:

  • Implement and manage hospital information systems and technology.
  • Promote the use of technology to improve operational efficiency and patient care.
  • Stay updated on the latest healthcare technologies and innovations.
