Role: Provisioning Operations Specialist - Voice Services

Seeking a Telecom Provisioning Manager with vast knowledge of voice circuits and trading desk technology to join the Global Telecom Provisioning Team. Candidate will work closely with the Network Engineering, Project Management and Finance teams.

The individual needs to show a keen interest in technology. This role requires an individual with effective communication and interpersonal skills that can establish and maintain an excellent relationship with technology and finance teams to order, coordinate installation and optimize voice circuits and work with finance to review and audit telecom bills for accuracy and identify cost savings. Additionally, as Telecom Provisioning manager you will be responsible for maintaining inventories and contracts and resolves billing disputes with vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Vendor Engagement:
  • Solicit and evaluate quotations from vendors per requirements defined by Network Engineering or Project Management.
  • Analyze and endorse vendors based on performance metrics and cost-effectiveness.

  1. Contractual Administration:
  • Draft and submit Contract Requisition Requests to initiate legal review.
  • Ensure contracts are finalized and endorsed, with signed orders routed through DocuSign for executive sign-off.

  1. Operational Execution:
  • Liaise with vendors to commence order processes and secure necessary configurations.
  • Archive executed legal documents within legal system for organizational compliance.
  • Devise and adhere to timelines predicated on vendor-specific delivery intervals for circuit provisioning.

  1. Global Circuit Management:
  • Acquire DIDs and manage SIP circuit requisitions on a global scale.
  • Implement and integrate new lines for trading desks, coordinating as needed for international operations.

  1. Inventory Oversight:
  • Perform periodic audits with voice service providers to confirm the accuracy of line inventories.
  • Update systems following the removal of disconnected circuits to maintain a current resource allocation overview.

  1. Quality Assurance and Troubleshooting:
  • Verify new lines with distant ends before allocation.
  • Coordinate troubleshooting efforts to resolve line issues proactively.

  1. Customer Service:
  • Facilitate requests for additional services such as extensions, direct lines, and intercom enhancements.
  • Oversee the operational health of voice services, responding to and resolving carrier issues as they arise.

  1. Financial Management:
  • Administer voice inventory to identify potential cost reductions.
  • Ensure accuracy in the Telecom Expense Management system by tracking disconnects and updating billing information.

  1. Technical Support:
  • Manage service tickets, oversee the transition and disconnection of orders, and ensure timely follow-up on new requests.

  1. Reporting and Collaboration:
  • Generate comprehensive reports from internal systems and carrier portals for stakeholder review.
  • Actively participate in project meetings, contributing updates and insights on voice operations.

Required Background:

  • 8-10 years of experience working with voice circuits providers and trading desk technology including Turrets, Private lines, PRI and SIP services.
  • Experience identifying discrepancies in processes and ability to provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Solid understanding of the basic principles and concepts of telecom expense management. This includes knowledge of telecom service procurement, invoice processing, cost allocation, inventory management, and expense optimization.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills and ability to work collaboratively with other infrastructure teams across the firm, globally.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and can adapt to changing business needs.

  • Working knowledge of IPC UNIGY system.
