Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team and play a critical role in the deployment, management, and optimization of our Generative AI SaaS product. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DevOps practices, cloud infrastructure, and a deep understanding of the unique challenges associated with deploying AI/ML models in a SaaS environment. This role requires a proactive problem-solver who can work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the continuous integration and delivery of high-performance AI services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure Management:
- Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure to support the Generative AI SaaS platform.
- Automate the provisioning, scaling, and monitoring of cloud resources using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- CI/CD Pipeline Development:
- Develop, maintain, and optimize continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure rapid, reliable, and repeatable deployment of AI services.
- Collaborate with development and data science teams to integrate AI/ML model deployment into the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring seamless updates and versioning of AI models.
- Monitoring and Performance Optimization:
- Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to proactively identify and address performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and operational issues.
- Optimize system performance, including latency, throughput, and resource utilization, particularly for AI model inference and data processing tasks.
- Security and Compliance:
- Ensure that all infrastructure and deployment practices adhere to the highest security standards, including data encryption, access control, and vulnerability management.
- Implement compliance controls and audits for regulatory standards applicable to AI and data-driven products, such as GDPR, HIPAA, or CCPA.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with software engineers, AI/ML engineers, and product teams to align infrastructure and deployment practices with business and technical requirements.
- Communicate complex technical concepts related to DevOps and AI/ML deployment to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Automation and Scripting:
- Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline repetitive tasks, reduce manual intervention, and minimize the risk of human error.
- Automate the deployment and scaling of AI models, ensuring that they can handle varying workloads efficiently.
- Disaster Recovery and High Availability:
- Design and implement disaster recovery strategies, including data backup, redundancy, and failover mechanisms, to ensure high availability of AI services.
- Regularly test and refine disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime in case of infrastructure failures.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in DevOps, AI/ML deployment, and cloud technologies.
- Continuously evaluate and improve DevOps processes, tools, and practices to enhance the efficiency and reliability of AI service delivery.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, with a focus on cloud-based SaaS products and AI/ML deployment.
- Proven experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including AI/ML services (e.g., SageMaker, Azure ML, or AI Platform).
- Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration tools.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or similar.
- Expertise in monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
- Strong scripting skills in languages like Python, Bash, or Go.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, particularly in the context of AI model deployment and performance optimization.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, AI-driven environment with rapidly changing requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with AI/ML lifecycle management, including model training, deployment, monitoring, and scaling.
