As we prepare to launch our India fund, StellarNOVA Emerging India Fund, we seek a dedicated Senior Investment Associate to join us in fundraising, sourcing LPs, and identifying high-growth opportunities.


Position Overview:

The Senior Investment Associate - Fundraising & Investments will play a critical role in establishing StellarNOVA Emerging India Fund. This position is ideal for a strategic, entrepreneurial individual who excels in raising capital, building investor relationships, and identifying promising investment opportunities. This role offers unique growth potential, with a KPI-driven compensation package and future opportunities to take on leadership within the fund.


Key Responsibilities:


Fundraising & LP Relationship Management:

  1. Develop and execute a fundraising strategy for StellarNOVA Emerging India Fund.
  2. Identify, engage, and build relationships with Limited Partners (LPs), including high-net-worth individuals, family offices, institutional investors, and venture funds.

Prepare and deliver presentations, pitch materials, and LP communication strategies to support fundraising goals.

  1. Conduct LP onboarding, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Investment Research & Pipeline Development:

  1. Conduct market research to identify high-growth startups within targeted sectors in India's emerging markets.
  2. Build a pipeline of potential investment opportunities by identifying high-growth startups.
  3. Perform initial investment assessments, including market opportunity analysis, competitive landscape evaluation, and team assessments.

Due Diligence & Investment Memos:

  1. Support due diligence processes, preparing detailed investment memos for presentation to the investment committee.
  2. Assess risk and growth potential using data-driven insights and industry trends, ensuring each investment aligns with fund objectives.


Portfolio Support & Market Insights

  1. Engage with portfolio companies, providing strategic guidance and support to optimize their growth and expansion.
  2. Stay updated on industry trends, emerging sectors, and key developments in the startup ecosystem.


Reporting & KPI Tracking:

  1. Track and report progress against fundraising and investment KPIs, with specific quarterly milestones.
  2.  Collaborate with the Founder & Managing Partner/Investment Leadership team to regularly review and refine fundraising strategies, pipeline development, and due diligence processes.


Qualifications:


  1. A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; CA qualification or CFA Level 1 or higher is a strong plus.
  2. 3+ years of experience in venture capital, investment banking, private equity, or as an equity analyst, focusing on fund setup, fundraising, and deal sourcing.
  3. Financial Modeling and Analytical Skills
  4. Experience in Due Diligence and Finance
  5. Proven track record in securing investment capital and building relationships with high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and institutional investors.
  6. Strong analytical skills and experience in financial modeling, due diligence, and market analysis.
  7. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives for LPs and internal stakeholders.
  8. Self-driven and adaptable, passionate about identifying growth opportunities and supporting early-stage companies.
