About the job


Summary of the position:

Perform the stress analysis of lines related to static & rotating equipment, air coolers, heaters etc by using caesar II software. locate, design and modelling supports for various piping system and perform the required calculations.


Job Location- Bangalore / Chennai


Essential Responsibilities:

•Conduct comprehensive stress analysis using industry-standard software (e.g., Caesar II) to evaluate piping systems' performance under various operating conditions.

•Conduct FEA analysis using PRG FEPIPE or ANSYS

•Perform Technical evaluation for Valves & Piping specialties.

•Collaborate with the engineering team to select suitable materials for piping components, considering factors such as temperature, pressure, corrosion resistance, and cost-effectiveness.

•Ensure that all piping designs comply with relevant industry codes and standards, such as ASME, API, and ASTM.

•Provide technical guidance to the project team, including designers, drafters, and other engineers, to ensure the successful execution of piping-related tasks.

•Identify potential hazards and vulnerabilities in piping systems and propose mitigation measures to enhance safety and reliability.

•Prepare detailed engineering reports, specifications, and drawings related to piping stress analysis and material selection.

•Monitor and review the work of junior engineers and designers to ensure accuracy and adherence to project requirements.

•Communicate with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to address technical queries and provide project updates.

•Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, and propose improvements to existing processes and workflows.


Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Chemical engineering
  • 7-14 years of experience in detailed stress analysis associated with Energy/Oil & Gas projects.
  • Advanced understanding and proficient experience of design software such as Caesar II, knowledge of AutoPipe is added advantage.
  • Hands-on experience of Navisworks, SPR and Excel to develop design deliverables is preferred.
  • Familiar with Energy/Oil & Gas industry codes and standards including ASME & API.
