The ideal candidate will be aCertified ServiceNow Administrator (CSA)with hands-on experience configuring, customizing, and extending the ServiceNow platform in alarge-scale, complex enterprise environment . This role requires atechnical subject matter expertwho can design, develop, troubleshoot, and support ServiceNow applications while ensuring adherence to platform best practices and architectural guidelines. You will collaborate with architects, product owners, and cross-functional stakeholders to build innovative solutions, automate workflows, and continuously improve the platform.Key Responsibilities 1. ServiceNow Platform Development & Configuration Configure, customize, and enhance the ServiceNow platform across multiple modules includingITSM, CSM, ITBM, ITAM, HRSD, GRC/SecOps/IRM . Develop advanced customizations using: UI Policies / Client Scripts / Business Rules Script Includes UI Macros, UI Pages ACLs & Security Rules MID Server installation, configuration & integrations Import Sets, Transform Maps, Data Policies Update Sets, Scoped Apps Build complex workflows, catalog items, record producers, flow actions, and automation using Flow Designer / Workflow Editor. 2. Technical Leadership & Solution Design Act as aTechnical Product Advocatefor ServiceNow, guiding solution design and recommending best practices. Review user stories and translate them into scalable technical solutions aligned with architectural guidelines. Evaluate alternative solutions, perform feasibility analysis, and propose efficient, cost-effective technical implementations. Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and guide team members through best practices. 3. Integrations & Automation Develop and maintainREST/SOAP-based integrationswith external systems. Use MID Server and IntegrationHub (Spokes) to create automated workflows across enterprise applications. Leverage scripting and automation tools to enhance ServiceNow operational efficiency. 4. Operations, Support & Continuous Improvement Monitor platform performance, diagnose issues, and implementbug fixes, enhancements, and root-cause analysis . Provide L2/L3 support for ServiceNow application issues across environments. Ensure high availability, stability, and health of the platform. Document solutions, configurations, upgrade procedures, build guides, and release notes. Identify configurational gaps and drivecontinuous improvement initiatives . 5. Governance & SDLC Compliance Follow Agile development methodologies, participate in sprint ceremonies, and maintain story/task updates. Ensure compliance withServiceNow coding standards, naming conventions, security practices , and upgrade-safe development. Manage deployments across Sub-Prod and Prod environments using update sets, ATF tests, and release workflows. Collaborate with QA to ensure test coverage and validate solution quality before deployments. 6. Stakeholder Collaboration Interact professionally with onsite teams, customers, and cross-functional stakeholders. Understand business requirements and provide configuration options withpros/consfor each approach. Communicate technical constraints, architectural considerations, and platform limitations clearly. 7. Documentation & Knowledge Management Create and maintain: Functional & Technical Design Documents Configuration documentation Upgrade & migration docs Release notes Operational policies & proceduresRequired Skills & QualificationsMandatory Certified ServiceNow Administrator (CSA) 4–8 yearshands-on experience as a ServiceNow Developer in alarge, complex enterprise environment . Technical Expertise Advanced hands-on experience with: UI Policies, Client Scripts, Business Rules Script Includes, GlideRecord, GlideAjax, GlideSystem UI Pages, UI Macros Catalog Items, Record Producers ACLs (Access Control Rules) Import Sets & Transform Maps MID Server configuration & troubleshooting Update Sets, Scoped App development Strong knowledge of: JavaScript(must) HTML, CSS, Bootstrap JSON, XML REST & SOAP web services Experience with: CMDB & Asset Management Discovery / Service Mapping / Orchestration (ServiceWatch) Service Portal customization Flow Designer, Workflow Editor Proficient inAgile methodologyand all phases of the SDLC. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.Preferred / Nice-to-HaveKnowledge/experience with: GRC / SecOps / IRMmodules (highly preferred) HRSD, CSM, ITBM, ITAM modules IntegrationHub, Flow Designer custom actions ATF (Automated Test Framework) Implementation Specialist Certificationin any ServiceNow product: ITSM HRSD CSM ITBM SecOps ITAM Understanding of DevOps & CI/CD pipelines for ServiceNow. Experience with scripting languages like Python or PowerShell (optional).Soft Skills & Behavioral Competencies Strong communication: verbal and written; must interact confidently with business & technical stakeholders. Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and proactively escalate issues. Leadership qualities with experience leading development deliverables. Strong interpersonal skills to work in cross-functional teams. High professionalism, self-discipline, and ownership mindset. Flexibility to work during requiredproject support hours / off-hoursas needed.
