We are proud of our international team and large global partnerships with leading clients.The PositionAs a member of theMaths Team, the successful candidate will be involved in theproduction,maintenanceanddata analysis of online and retail slot games– with tasks including (but not limited to) developing original concepts, running Monte Carlo simulations and playtesting games with an internal demo.You will liaise with a variety of other internal teams. Primarily, working with the Server-Side/Front-end teams during a games development but then later with the Data/Operations team after the initial release to help maintain and review games on the market.On a day-to-day, your responsibilities may include monitoring existing products, internal playtesting/review of current projects. Additionally, you may have to creating a tool in Java/Python or solve a complex mathematical problem in order to meet a particular need or requirement.A major part of this role iscreativityand having a core understanding ofprobability,statisticsand what makes a game enjoyable to ensure that games are of thehighest quality.Role and responsibilities Assisting teams where necessary in designing, developing and delivering new slot games. Taking on tasks and projects as directed, communicating progress and delivering results within deadline. Maintaining and monitoring existing games developed by the company. Working with colleagues to test out new game ideas.Required Experience Three or more (3+) years of experience working with slot game mathematics Anundergraduate/master’s degree in mathematicsor equivalent in other numerate disciplines – such as Statistics, Engineering or Physics. Good knowledge of Combinatorics, Probability Theory and Quantitative Analysis Advanced knowledge of theJavaprogramming language and withMicrosoft Excel. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Desirable Experience Ability to write in thelanguage of mathematics–with the ability to write and understand different neologisms, symbols and jargon commonly used in the field. Knowledge of and experience ofObject Oriented Programming(OOP)concepts. Proficient with both thePython/Javaprogramming language and modular design patterns. Prior experience of running Monte Carlo simulations - with knowledge of how to interpret the data and use it to further improve the model. An interest in and knowledge of slot games, with an understanding of the current state of the market.The ideal candidate willBe able to take complex game concepts and have the ability to build, balance and/or maintain the relevant a mathematical model. Be capable of communicating their ideas effectively to others – especially to those with varying levels of mathematical understanding.
