Please do not contact the recruiter directly.Job SummaryThis role will involve managing data privacy in existing processes and controls, working with the various Business and Functions teams, with 2nd line Compliance colleagues and Technology to operate capabilities for robust, streamlined and customer centric Data & Privacy management. Key Responsibilities•The successful candidate will have an opportunity to work in a multi-disciplinary team to operate data privacy capabilities for Privacy Impact Assessment, Record of Processing Activities and Data Sovereignty. •Responsibilities may include but are not limited to, responding to privacy related queries from business stakeholders, defining requirements for capability enhancements and changes, conducting data quality scans, conducting regular process and documentation reviews, conducting impact assessments, data incident management, reporting risk metrics and operational KPIs, awareness and training, communications. Monitoring regulatory changes and assessing their impact on data privacy management, as well as monitoring any new, or changes to existing, technology applications, products, or operational processes, are also a part of this role. •The candidate must have a good understanding of Data Management and Privacy principles and have professional experience particularly in areas such as privacy risk. Processes •Privacy Impact Assessment - advisory for business and functions' stakeholders •Draft / update policies, guidelines, procedures and documentation as required based on external or internal changes •Participate in the development/ enhancements of privacy-related technology solutions, including, but not limited to requirements gathering •Create communications and training materials as well as deliver the training •Create operational reports for customer privacy Risk Management •Monitor any new, or changes to existing, technology applications, products, or operational processes and ensures that data and privacy risks are appropriately managed. •Collaborate with the Legal, Data Security, Information Technology and Compliance departments to identify and control data, records and privacy risks •Conduct assessments / surveys (e.g. on privacy impact / risk & controls) / data gathering and analysis on applications, products, processes, documentation and third parties to evaluate compliance with laws, regulations, and internal standards Governance •Define and operate metrics and dashboards for monitoring and reporting purposes •Provide write ups and data visualisations to forums to enable decision making Regulatory & Business Conduct •Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct. •Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct. •Lead the data privacy initiatives to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank's Conduct Principles: compliance with the legal requirements and Group Privacy Standard as well as excellent customer experience •Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters. Key stakeholders •Business & Functions, CFCR Skills and Experience•Data Management •Data Protection •Data Privacy •Cyber Security •Data Privacy by Design Qualifications•Extensive experience in a relevant role (e.g. Compliance, Legal, Audit) or experience in a data & privacy domain of a large organisation •A Bachelor's Degree in Law, Compliance and Governance, Auditing/Finance/ Risk or equivalent is a minimum requirement •Good understanding of Data & Privacy policies and standards (including but not limited to GDPR) •Experience with risk management and internal control frameworks •Ability to optimize processes to ensure its efficiency and effectiveness while complying with requirements •Certifications in data privacy are a plus (CIPP, CIA, CISA, CISSP, CISM), •Highly motivated individual with a strong track record of achievement •A good team player •Ability to work well in teams as well as independently and to provide guidance to junior members •Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines •Excellent critical thinking, communication and presentation skills About Standard CharteredWe're an international bank, nimble enough to act, big enough for impact.
