Role: IS Retail - Solution Architect / Lead

Job Description


Role and Responsibilities

  • Contribute to thought leadership, competence development, and sales initiatives.
  • Requirements gathering, project planning and management, solution design, configuration and customization of SAP products.
  • Technical analysis and documentation of integrated systems.
  • Provide expert advice on SAP functionality, change management and other advisory services.
  • Provide guidance on test plans and end-user documentation.
  • Suggest solutions to customer based on best practice.
  • Identify business drivers and goals and develop compelling proposals and value-driven business cases to achieve desired business outcomes.
  • Translate client's business needs into business requirements and participate in the production of detailed design and technical specifications.
  • Understand the requirements, current state architecture of the enterprise and create roadmap for the future enhancements accordingly.


Required Technical Experience

  • Extensive understanding and expertise in the Retail sector.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise solutions from an application and business standpoint.
  • 15+ years of work experience in SAP IS Retail & Fashion consulting services or business environments, with a minimum of 5 E2E implementations.
  • Experience with the following areas:
  • Planning
  • Retail Financial
  • Merchandising: Rebates, Pricing and Promotions
  • Supply Chain
  • Master Data: Article master, Site master, merchandising category, store layout
  • Experience in developing rollout strategies.
  • Profound understanding of Retail business processes
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple deliverables and projects concurrently.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, effectively interacting with others.
  • Must be result-oriented and demonstrate a can-do attitude – adaptability, flexibility and resourcefulness.
  • Knowledge in scope and effort estimate preparation.
  • Should have SAP certification in SAP Fashion or IS Retail
