Operations and Research Associate - Job DescriptionDalton Investment Advisory Services Private Limited is seeking an Operations and Research Associate to support the firm's AIF Fund Operations and Research functions. The primary responsibility involves managing end-to-end operational activities, including coordination with outsourced vendors for Fund Accounting, RTA, Investor Onboarding, Compliance, Monthly Reporting, and Audit Support. In addition to operational responsibilities, the candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to research-related activities and may eventually transition into a research-focused role, based on performance and organizational needs. This position is based in Mumbai.Operations Responsibilities- Ensure smooth day-to-day operations and timely execution of all fund-related activities for Dalton India AIF.- Liaise with external vendors and service providers, including Fund Accounting, RTA, Custodian, Compliance, and Auditors, to ensure accurate and timely deliverables.- Oversee monthly and quarterly investor reporting and ensure timely delivery.- Manage investor onboarding and KYC verification and assist with form filling and related documentation.- Coordinate with outsourced tax teams to ensure timely and accurate tax filings.- Ensure regulatory compliance and timely submission of reports to SEBI and RBI.- Support the audit process, ensuring timely completion and resolution of audit-related matters.Research and Other Activities- Monitor portfolio companies comprising listed entities in the Indian market.- Support research on individual listed companies, including business evaluation, competitive analysis, and valuation.- Gain proficiency in Bloomberg and other financial research Chartered Accountant with 2-3 years of prior fund operations experience, preferably within India AIF funds.- Chartered Accountant freshers may also be considered.- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is preferred.- Strong attention to detail and a desire to thrive in a collaborative, small-team environment.About Our CompanyDalton Investment Advisory Services Private Limited is a subsidiary of Dalton Investments, a bottom-up, fundamentals-focused investment management firm specializing in Asia, Emerging Markets, and global equities.
