Job Description

As a Sr. Business Development Manager at D2P Consultancy, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth and expanding our client base within the FMCG and F&B industry. You will be responsible for generating leads, nurturing client relationships, and closing deals. This role offers tremendous opportunities for career advancement, lucrative incentives, and the chance to work with leading brands in the industry.

The role reports to the founder directly.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development - Outbound:

  • Identify and prospect potential clients within the FMCG and F&B sectors.
  • Align meetings with all potential clients and pitch to them about the consultancy's offerings and services
  • Outreach and align business development meetings with potential clients.
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline through networking, industry events, Instagram, , and other relationship-building activities.
  • Create a repository of potential clients in F&B and FMCG industry (startups from 0 to 200 Cr topline)
  • Create a pitch to conversion funnel to meet month-on-month sales targets
  • Track client conversions and communication activities

Business Development - Inbound:

  • Handle inbound inquiries from various communication channels of the brand
  • Outreach to all the incoming business development opportunities and pitch to them about the consultancy's offerings and services

Client Engagement:

  • Conduct in-depth consultations to understand clients' business objectives, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Present D2P Consultancy's services and value proposition effectively to prospective clients.
  • Develop tailored solutions and proposals to address clients' specific needs and requirements.

Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate strong, long-lasting relationships with clients through regular communication and follow-up.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, offering insights and recommendations to support their business growth and success.
  • Ensure client satisfaction by delivering exceptional service and exceeding expectations at every stage of the engagement.

Sales Performance:

  • Create a pitch to conversion funnel to meet month-on-month sales targets
  • Track sales activities, pipeline progress, and performance metrics to provide regular updates to the management team.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and expanding services to existing clients.

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate closely with the consulting team to develop customized solutions and deliver value-added services to clients.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project handover and seamless execution of client engagements.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and knowledge-sharing activities to contribute to the overall growth and success of the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in B2B sales or business development in the B2B segment.
  • Should have experience in the F&B background.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of market dynamics.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and manage time effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Passion for sales, entrepreneurship, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
