Description :We are hiring an experienced L2 Network Security Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in managing and supporting multi-vendor network security environments.The role involves day-to-day administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of firewalls, routers, switches, load balancers (LLB and SLB), VPN solutions, wireless systems, and proxy platforms across enterprise-level globally distributed networks.The engineer will be responsible for ensuring high availability and security of business-critical systems, identifying potential threats, escalating issues when required, and strictly following operational processes and procedures.- Candidates must possess deep technical knowledge in at least five or more security technologies including firewalls such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, Checkpoint, Juniper, and Cisco; VPN solutions including IPSEC and SSL VPN on Fortinet, Cisco, Palo Alto, Checkpoint, and Juniper; IPS technologies across Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortigate, and Juniper; and Unified Threat Management tools.- Experience with AAA services such as ACS, Radius, and RSA is essential, along with hands-on exposure to load balancers like Radware and F5, switching platforms including Cisco, Juniper, HPE, and Mellanox, and routing platforms from Cisco, Juniper, and HPE.- The engineer should be proficient in firewall operations such as rule creation, modification, deletion, NAT configurations, packet captures, log analysis, HA setup, and troubleshooting via both CLI and GUI consoles like CSM, SmartConsole, and others.- Strong troubleshooting skills in resolving high-priority incidents related to firewalls, IPS/IDS, proxy, switching, routing, and load balancers are crucial, along with good knowledge of VPN technologies such as Site-to-Site IPSEC, GETVPN, GRE/MGRE, and remote access VPN issues.- The role includes active participation in ITIL-driven incident, change, problem, and configuration management processes, performing activities such as hardware replacement, OS/firmware upgrades, configuration updates, bandwidth upgrades, URL whitelist/blacklist updates, firewall rule changes, and maintaining accurate documentation including network diagrams, scripts, and post-change reports.- The candidate must be able to manage ticket queues efficiently, provide timely updates as per SLA, document RCA for problem tickets, and collaborate with TAC and hardware vendors to resolve complex issues.- Strong communication skills, client interaction ability, decision-making, accountability, and innovation are essential behavioral attributes.- Candidates should hold a BSc, BCA, BE, MCA, MSc, or equivalent qualification and preferably possess certifications such as CCSA/CCSE, Check Point Maestro Expert, Fortinet NSE, ANSSI Certification, Palo Alto PCNSE, Juniper JNCIA/JNCIA-SEC, Cisco CCNP/CCIE, or HPE security certifications.- A minimum of 5 years of experience in network security engineering across multi-vendor environments is mandatory, and experience with cloud security controls or security tooling on AWS, Azure, or GCP will be an added advantage.
