You will be responsible for architecting scalable systems, mentoring engineers, and establishing technical standards while remaining hands-on with code. This role requires someone who can balance technical depth with leadership skills, guiding both technology decisions and team growth.Responsibilities:Own the technical architecture and make strategic decisions on system design, technology choices, and infrastructureDrive technical roadmap planning and align engineering efforts with business objectivesLead by example through hands-on contribution to critical features and architectural componentsParticipate in hiring processes and help build a strong engineering cultureRequirements:7+ years of software engineering experience with at least 2 years in a technical leadership roleExpert-level knowledge of Node.js, TypeScript, and modern backend frameworks (Fastify, Express)Strong background in system design, architectural patterns, and making technology trade-offsDeep understanding of monorepo architectures and tooling (Turborepo, Nx)Experience with event-driven architectures and message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, BullMQ)Production experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)Strong cloud platform expertise (AWS and/or GCP) including infrastructure design and optimizationHands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, MCP, etc.)Expertise in database design and optimization (SQL/NoSQL) with ORMs like Drizzle or PrismaProficiency with API design, testing frameworks, and load testing tools (Postman, k6, JMeter)Nice to have:Experience building and scaling AI-powered platforms or productsKnowledge of observability and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry, DataDog)Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation)Background in Python and FastAPI for polyglot developmentFamiliarity with modern frontend frameworks and state management (React, Redux, Next.js, Vue)Experience working in fast-paced startup environmentsBenefits:Competitive salary and equity optionsFlexible work environment (remote/hybrid)Work with cutting-edge AI technologies and modern engineering practicesHigh growth potential as the company and team scale
