Position Overview:

As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing tests, debugging and defining corrective actions, reviewing system requirements, and tracking quality assurance metrics. The ideal candidate needs to have a strong background in test automation, manual testing, and expertise in Selenium, Java, BDD frameworks like Cucumber, and API testing using Postman. You will be involved in the overall review and revision of manual and automated testing plans and procedures. You will play a critical role in our product development process by ensuring our plugins meet the highest standards of quality and reliability before they reach our customers.


Experience Required: 1 - 3 years


Key Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium and Java.
  • Implement Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) practices with Cucumber to create readable and maintainable test cases.
  • Perform API testing using Postman to validate RESTful services.
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
  • Execute both manual and automated test scripts.
  • Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
  • Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet the requirements
  • Liaise with internal teams (e.g. Developers and Product Managers) to identify system requirements
  • Monitor debugging process results


Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven work experience in software quality assurance
  • Proven experience in developing automated tests using Selenium and Java.
  • Strong knowledge of Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and experience with Cucumber.
  • Proficiency in API testing using Postman.
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks such as JUnit or TestNG.
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
  • Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
  • Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
  • Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
  • A team player and self-starter who will work side by side with the development team. Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks and quickly adjust in a rapidly changing environment
