Description : About the Role : We are seeking an experienced Data Governance Lead to oversee and drive the organizations data governance strategy, policies, and practices.The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data management, data warehousing, regulatory compliance (like GDPR), master data management (MDM), and data quality frameworks.You will play a key role in ensuring data integrity, compliance, and effective usage across business functions.Key Responsibilities : - Define, implement, and manage the organizations data governance framework and best practices.- Lead initiatives related to data management, master data management (MDM), and data quality assurance.- Develop and enforce data policies, standards, and guidelines in alignment with regulatory requirements, including GDPR.- Oversee data validation, cleansing, and reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy and consistency across systems.- Collaborate with IT, business units, and data stewards to maintain data integrity and reliability.- Establish and monitor data quality metrics and reporting to ensure continuous improvement.- Conduct risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies related to data compliance and governance.- Provide training and guidance to stakeholders on data governance policies and best practices.- Evaluate and recommend tools and technologies to enhance data governance, MDM, and data quality capabilities.- Serve as a subject matter expert on regulatory requirements, industry standards, and emerging trends in data governance.Technical Skills Required : - Strong experience in Data Management, Data Warehousing, and Master Data Management (MDM).- Hands-on experience with data validation, data quality frameworks, and reporting tools.- Knowledge of GDPR, data privacy regulations, and compliance standards.- Experience in data governance tools and platforms (Informatica, Collibra, Talend, etc.- Understanding of ETL processes, database technologies (SQL/NoSQL), and BI tools.- Strong analytical skills with experience in data profiling and data lineage analysis.Soft Skills : - Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.- Strategic thinking with attention to detail.- Ability to influence and drive organizational change in data practices.Educational Qualification : - Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or related field.- Relevant certifications in Data Governance, MDM, or Data Quality are a plus (ref:hirist.tech)
