APEXX - Engineering Manager

Youll sit at the intersection of product, technology, and finance shaping the strategy and execution behind mission-critical integrations that power our customer-facing features (real-time transaction processing, reporting portals, and more).

Working in a modern tech stack including Java (Spring Boot), Python, AWS Lambdas, PostgreSQL, React.js, Node.js, and Next.js youll play a key role in architectural decisions, delivery excellence, and team development.

WHAT YOULL BE DOING & Architecture Leadership :

- Lead, support, and grow a team of software engineers delivering both customer-facing and platform capabilities.

- Guide architecture and design across our self-serve customer portal, real-time transaction dashboards, and intelligent routing engine.

- Shape product thinking alongside Product and Design to ensure seamless, intuitive user & Infrastructure :

- Oversee third-party integrations with key FinTech partners.

- Ensure integrations are secure, performant, and scalable from design through to production support.

- Champion engineering quality through architecture reviews, hands-on technical guidance, and best Delivery & Culture :

- Foster a high-trust, inclusive, and continuously improving team environment.

- Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders in Product, Compliance, and Business to deliver impactful outcomes.

- Lead incident response, retrospectives, and process improvements with a focus on learning and

operational You :

- A track record of building and leading high-performing engineering teams to deliver complex real-time systems and third-party integrations.

- Experience guiding technical decisions, coaching engineers, and driving delivery in a fast-paced product environment.

- Strong hands-on experience with backend technologies such as Java (Spring Boot), Python, PostgreSQL, and cloud-native architecture.

- Exposure to frontend technologies such as React.js, Node.js, and Next.js is a plus particularly in the

context of building and scaling customer-facing products.

- Comfortable with modern DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, observability tooling, and Solid understanding of third-party APIs and secure data transmission (REST, SOAP, OAuth, etc.)

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; comfortable working cross-functionally and across time zones.
