Job Description: Platform & Linux Kernel Developer

Location & Experience :- Bengaluru, 6-12 Years

Skills:

  • Expertise in Linux Kernel Programming: Proficient in developing and maintaining Linux kernel modules with a focus on X86/AMD/Intel SOCs.
  • Kernel Device Driver Development: Skilled in designing, implementing, and debugging kernel device drivers for various hardware components. High speed buses like SPI, I2C, UART, PCIE, MDIO etc.
  • In-depth Understanding of Kernel Internals: Comprehensive knowledge of kernel internals including Device Trees, Memory Management, Scheduling, MMUs, DCVS, and Power Management, particularly with a focus on AMD architecture.
  • Experience with Linux System Programming and Bootloaders: Hands-on experience with Linux system programming, bootloaders such as UEFI, BIOS, and Grub/bootloader configuration.
  • Familiarity with AMD Internals: Thorough understanding of AMD processor architecture, enabling efficient development and optimization of software solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, Develop, Deliver, and Maintain Linux Kernel Modules: Take ownership of the entire lifecycle of Linux kernel module development, ensuring high-quality solutions for X86/AMD/Intel SOCs.

Experience:

  • 5 Years of Linux Kernel Programming Experience: Demonstrated track record of successful Linux kernel programming and kernel device driver development over a period of five years.
  • Multi-Core CPU Software Development: Proficiency in developing and supporting software solutions optimized for multi-core X86/AMD CPUs, leveraging their parallel processing capabilities.
  • Debugging Proficiency: Ability to diagnose and resolve issues using RAM dumps, JTAG debugger, and Linux Observability tools such as tracers, perf, and bpftrace.
  • Technical Leadership: Capable of technically leading projects and features, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining a high standard of quality.
  • Self-Driven and Committed: Motivated and committed to meeting deadlines, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and task completion.
