To partner with us in this exciting journey and unlock new values for the business, we are looking for passionate professionals in the position of Head Taxation, Vedanta Jharsuguda.


ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES: -


  • Provide proactive strategic tax advice, analyze tax laws, and identify opportunities for eligible tax benefits while mitigating tax risks
  • Manage various tax matters and develop tax planning strategies and procedures to ensure central control over taxation issues
  • Manage tax assessments, disputes, and litigations related to GST, central excise, and service tax
  • Handle TDS/TCS Returns, Tax Audits, Computation of Advance Tax, Preparation and filing of Transfer Pricing returns, Computation of Deferred Tax and Handling Litigations
  • Represent the organization before tax authorities, prepare submissions and provide financial data and information to support litigation cases
  • Ensure full and timely compliance with GST returns and other applicable statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Plan and provide training to address skill gaps and enhance employee capabilities
  • Define Key Result Areas (KRAs) for each position in team and monitor their performance against these KRAs to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives


CRITERIA:


  • 60% and above throughout the education
  • Bachelor’s degree, CA preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in large manufacturing organization
  • Expert knowledge of indirect taxes including customs, central excise, sales tax/VAT/Entry Tax, service tax, Taxation laws and GST in big manufacturing unit.
  • Hand in experience in handling matters in DGFT/SEZ/Customs etc
