The ideal candidate will be hands-on with modern backend technologies, possess strong leadership qualities, and have a passion for building reliable, high-performance systems in a fast-paced startup environment.Key Responsibilities : Backend Architecture & Development :- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Python and Golang to support Volts core services such as Orchestrator, DroneAI APIs, and rider operations tooling.Microservices & API Design :- Build and optimize microservices-based architecture ensuring modularity, security, and performance of distributed systems.Infrastructure & DevOps Management :- Deploy, monitor, and manage infrastructure on AWS (RDS, Redis, ECS/Fargate, VPCs, CI/CD pipelines) ensuring high availability and efficiency.AI/ML Model Integration :- Collaborate with data teams to productionize machine learning models for demand prediction, rider assignment, and fleet balancing.System Reliability & Performance :- Ensure backend services are reliable, scalable, and performant through rigorous testing, observability, and continuous improvement practices.Leadership & Mentorship :- Lead by exampleconduct code reviews, define best engineering practices, and mentor junior engineers to maintain a culture of technical excellence.Cross-Functional Collaboration :- Partner with product, design, and operations teams to translate business requirements into effective, scalable technical solutions.Innovation & Execution :- Drive 01 projects from concept to production with simplicity, agility, and ownership.Key RequirementsExperience : 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in backend development with proven success in delivering large-scale distributed systems.Technical Expertise :- Proficiency in Golang and Python (both preferred).- Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and RESTful API design.- Experience with AWS services (EC2, RDS/Postgres, Redis, ECS/Fargate, VPC, CI/CD).- Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Terraform, GitHub Actions, Docker, and infrastructure automation.- Database Proficiency : Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, particularly PostgreSQL and Redis.- System Design : Solid grasp of distributed systems concepts, scalability, and performance optimization.- Problem Solving : Analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges.- Soft Skills : Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration abilities with an entrepreneurial attitude.Bonus Skills :- Experience with geospatial systems (H3, OSRM, Redis Geo).- Exposure to real-time systems or ML inference integration in production environments.- Previous startup or fintech experience is a plus.Why Join Volt Money :- Be part of a fast-growing fintech startup transforming the lending landscape in India.- Work with cutting-edge technologies in a high-impact role.- Flat hierarchy and ownership-driven culture.- Competitive compensation and growth opportunities.
