Role: Legal Counsel (Disputes Resolution + Real Estate + Contracts)

Location: Gurugram

Department: Legal

Professional Experience: 5-6 years of extensive litigation experience (Civil + Consumer +Criminal + Arbitration) acquired in reputed set of Chambers / Law Firms/In-house, relevant experience in real estate transactions/advisory and drafting/negotiating varied Resolution:

- Managing and strategizing litigation (civil + consumer + criminal) including arbitration, recovery proceedings, etc.

- Coordination and alignment with external bodies such as law firms, chambers, empaneled lawyers pan-India.

- Dealing with various statutory, regulatory and enforcement authorities/agencies in relation to statutory notices/summons.

- Advising and providing required legal inputs to management and other internal stakeholders on various litigations from time to time.

- Preparing, highlighting and updating higher management of the Company regarding status of litigation including high stake cases.

- Drafting notices, replies to notice, written statements, pleadings, preparing briefs, case summaries, maintaining and updating MIS, etc.

- Working closely with internal and external audit teams and responding to the clarifications/requirements arising from these teams.

Contracts

- Review, draft, negotiate, and advise on a wide range of contracts, agreements, and legal documents, including service agreements, vendor agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Warehousing agreements, Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify legal risks and provide recommendations to mitigate them effectively in the draft agreements and during its negotiations.

- Standardizing the existing draft agreements to ensure its compliance with the constantly changing legal framework and compliance.

Real Estate

- Preparation and review of documents relating to title and transfer.

- Coordinating with external counsel for comprehensive title searches, reviewing of title search report, etc.

- Coordinating with internal stakeholders for procuring list of documents and

observations for the preparation of the Title Search Report (TSR).

- Advising the internal stakeholders on aspects of real estate transactions including title due diligence, issuance of title opinions, registration of properties, drafting & negotiating commercial leases.

Qualifications & Skills:

- LL.B (Hons.) from a reputed college.

- 5-6 years of relevant experience in litigation (Civil + Consumer + Criminal + Arbitration).

- Excellent functional knowledge of relevant laws (Civil + Consumer + Relevant experience in real estate transactions/advisory and the functional knowledge

of real estate laws.

- Knowledge of contract laws and its implementation.

- Negotiation skills.

- Excellent drafting and research skills.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to work in a fast paced work environment.

- Attention to detail.

- Ability to manage and align stakeholders, both internal and external.

- Strategizing litigations including devising legally sound solutions.

- Proactive and diligent.

- Comfortable working with legal tech online workspace collaboration tools (Litigation + Contracts).

- Willingness to take initiatives.

- Independent self-starter.
