Application Link - Experience - 5-8 Years and AboveRole Overview We’re hiring aSenior Android Developerwith5–8 years of hands-on Kotlin experiencewho has worked extensively onvideo players and AppSync (GraphQL)integrations. You’ll own core modules of our Android app – fromvideo playback and monetization systemstoreal-time content delivery and sync– and help scale Bullet to millions of users. Key Responsibilities Architect, develop, and optimize theBullet Android appwith a focus onscalable, smooth video playback(ExoPlayer, DRM, caching). Implement and maintainAppSync (GraphQL) integrationsfor real-time data flows, content sync, and personalized feeds. Collaborate with product and design to buildintuitive, fast, and reliable user experiences . Work closely with backend teams to designsecure, efficient APIs and GraphQL schemas . Lead debugging and performance tuning acrossvideo, networking, and storage layers . Mentor junior developers, enforceclean code standards, testing, and CI/CD best practices . Stay ahead ofAndroid ecosystem updates, Jetpack enhancements, and video tech trends . Requirements 5–8 years of professional Android development experience , with strong expertise inKotlin . Proven track record invideo app development– deep experience withExoPlayer, adaptive streaming (HLS/DASH), DRM, offline playback, and caching . Strong experience withAWS AppSync/GraphQLfor real-time APIs and offline data sync. Familiarity withJetpack components(Compose, Navigation, WorkManager, Room). Strong understanding ofapp architecture (MVVM, Clean Architecture) . Experience withanalytics, crash reporting (Firebase, Crashlytics), and CI/CD pipelines . Excellent problem-solving skills, with ability todebug complex video and networking issues . Bonus Points Prior work inOTT/video-first appsorconsumer-scale mobile products . Experience withWeb3 wallets, token-based systems, or gamification features . Exposure toperformance marketing tools and A/B testing frameworks . Contributions toopen-source Android or video player projects .
