Technical Writer

Contract: 6 Month

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the creation and maintenance of comprehensive documentation, including user manuals, API documentation, installation guides, and online help resources.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather complex technical information and ensure documentation accuracy and clarity.
• Develop documentation strategies and standards that enhance usability and maintain consistency across all materials.
• Mentor and train junior writers, providing guidance on best practices in technical writing and documentation processes.
• Conduct reviews of documentation to ensure adherence to company standards and industry best practices.
• Utilize various tools and technologies for documentation, including Markdown, Confluence, and other authoring tools.
• Participate in product development cycles to understand new features and updates, ensuring timely documentation delivery.
• Gather and incorporate user feedback to continually improve the quality and effectiveness of documentation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, English, Computer Science, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
• 7-10 years of experience in technical writing, with a focus on software or hardware documentation.
• Strong understanding of technical concepts and the ability to convey them clearly to diverse audiences.
• Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Proven experience in leading documentation projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in documentation tools and software, with the ability to learn new tools quickly.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in an Agile environment is preferred
