Position Name: Mainframe Administrator

Location: Chennai, India

Experience: 3+ years

Notice Period: Immediate to 15 days joiners


Position Description:

1. Responsible for day to day operations of mainframe computing facilities ensuring high availability including Mainframe Batch Event Monitoring & Scheduling, Mainframe Online transaction Failure Handling and Batch and first line closure of issues

2. Responsible for Event management, Incident Management, Problem Management, Request Fulfillment and Knowledge Management adherence with ITSM framework

3. Acknowledge Tickets and conduct quick triage, provide solution and close the ticket within SLA ;Ensure escalation of tickets to next level according to Prose within SLA time

4. Analyze operation failures, determine root causes, develop and implement corrective actions for efficient

5. recovery and improve system availability

6. Identify system operational and performance problems, develop & implement solution

7. To work with global teams and stakeholders including PDO, Customers, internal & external Auditors, and cross functional teams

8. Provide regular status update, support generating operational metrics and participate in necessary improvements/brainstorming sessions

9. Participate standup meeting on daily basis and discuss operational issues

10. Support BCP/DR test and applicable audits

11. Actively participate in the analysis and review of proposed system configuration changes/maintenance

12. Focus on Process adherence, process improvements, knowledge management and Problem Management

13. Support eff orts on Security & Control processes and Audit comments

14. Support 24/7 operations & flexible timings, Global operations support

15. Excellent verbal & written communication skills


Skills Required:

working knowledge in Ca7 and batch scheduling technologies/Concepts

- Experience in Abend Handling & Monitoring

-Experience in REXX, JCL, TSO, ISPF & BMC IT Connect & Smart IT

-Good knowledge of IMS, IMS Commands ,Omegaview

-Good to have experience in Cobol, VSAM & DB2
