IT Purchasing Assistant (Customer Associate) -- Job Description 

 

Overview: 

A Purchasing Assistant, also referred to as a Customer Associate, is someone who supports the purchasing team by handling administrative tasks, managing supplier relationships, and assisting customers. They ensure that orders are processed correctly, track inventory, maintain accurate records, and provide essential customer service. Essentially, they help keep the purchasing process smooth and efficient while maintaining positive interactions with both suppliers and customers.

 

 

Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat – Science City (Work from Office) 

Working Days & Timings: Mondays to Friday –  9:30PM to 6:30AM (Nightshift)

Sat-Sun Fixed off

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Process purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely restocking.
  • Communicate with suppliers to resolve any issues related to orders, deliveries, or invoices.
  • Assist in preparing and analyzing reports on purchasing activities and costs.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth operations and timely procurement of necessary items.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and document management.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement role is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Sharepoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
