About the Role :


We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic SAP ABAP Engineer to join our SAP Global Operations Center (GOC) team for Vedanta Group in Bengaluru. This role involves end-to-end development, optimization, and maintenance of SAP applications, with a strong focus on S/4HANA migration, ABAP on HANA, and advanced integration Responsibilities Development & Enhancement :


- Design, develop, test, and document high-quality SAP ABAP solutions aligned with business and functional requirements.


- Develop custom applications, enhancements, and reports using Advanced ABAP (OOABAP), ABAP on HANA, and S/4HANA-specific features.

- Optimize existing ECC code for S/4HANA compatibility and performance Integration & Functional Support :


- Work on functional incident fixes in the Sales & Distribution (SD) module.


- Implement and maintain interfaces using ALE/IDOC, BAPIs, BADIs, and SAP Gateway/OData

services.

- Integrate SAP with external systems via RESTful APIs and service Development :


- Utilize Core Data Services (CDS) views, AMDP, and HANA native SQL for performance-

optimized development.


- Leverage Fiori/UI5 technologies for modern UI Support & Issue Resolution :


- Debug and resolve production-critical issues with quick turnaround.


- Collaborate with stakeholders to provide end-to-end resolution for incidents in ECC and

S/4HANA Execution & Collaboration :


- Participate in implementation, upgrade, and support projects.


- Follow release and change management best practices.

- Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, logistics, and SD teams for integrated Skills Required :


Core ABAP Development :


- Reports, Module Pool Programming, ALV Reports, SAP Scripts, Smart Forms, SAP ABAP (OOABAP) with design & Data Exchange :


- ALE/IDOC processing, BAPIs, BADIs, RFCs, service gateways, OData/RESTful & ABAP on HANA :


- CDS views, AMDP, HANA SQL scripting, optimization for in-memory in SAP :


- SAP UI5/Fiori application development.

- HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript integration with SAP.


Functional Knowledge :


- SAP SD processes; basic exposure to SAP Finance & Logistics modules.


Tools & Platforms :


- ServiceNow, JIRA, Git, Solution :


- Performance tuning for HANA-based applications.

- Experience with SAP S/4HANA conversion/migration : Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.


Experience : 7 - 9 years in SAP ABAP development, with minimum 35 years in ABAP on HANA/S/4HANA.


- Proven track record of delivering end-to-end SAP development in large enterprise

environments.

- Strong communication skills for client-facing and cross-team collaboration.

- Ability to work as an individual contributor and in agile project environments.


- Open to learning new technologies and taking on cross-functional tasks.
