With a strong commitment to technical excellence, safety, and innovation, we are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our professional team and lead on-site project execution.Why Botswana?Known as one of Africa’s safest and most stable countries Produces over 40% of the world’s diamonds Home to only 2 million people — peaceful, welcoming, and investor-friendly Among Africa’s highest GDP per capita nations with a strong construction sectorJob SummaryThe Senior Civil Engineer (Site-Based) will oversee the design, planning, supervision, and execution of civil engineering works on residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects.This position requires strong technical competence, leadership ability, and hands-on project management experience in buildings and infrastructure works — including roads, water, and sewerage systems.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate civil engineering activities across multiple projects. Prepare, review, and approve designs, structural drawings, and technical specifications. Supervise site operations to ensure quality control and safety compliance. Manage project schedules, budgets, material procurement, and subcontractors. Liaise with architects, consultants, suppliers, and regulatory bodies. Conduct risk assessments and resolve on-site technical challenges. Ensure compliance with Botswana’s building codes, environmental, and safety regulations. Provide leadership and mentoring to junior engineers and site staff. Prepare and present progress reports and documentation to management and clients.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering (Master’s degree an advantage). Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience with a reputable construction company.Proven experience in:Residential housing projects (minimum Ground +3). Infrastructure works: bulk earthworks, sewerage, water reticulation, roads, and stormwater. Fluent in English (spoken and written). Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD Pro, and related engineering software. Strong leadership, interpersonal, and project management skills. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel/relocate within Botswana. Registered or eligible for registration with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB) in Botswana.Desirable (Added Advantage)Experience with green/sustainable construction practices.
