Our platform offers unique features like the FinOps Agents (FI)—an intelligent assistant that enables practitioners to manage, optimize, and forecast cloud resources seamlessly.


We are scaling rapidly, and we're looking for a FinOps Practitioner to bring hands-on expertise in cloud cost management while collaborating closely with our product development team to shape FinOpsly's offerings.


Key Responsibilities

FinOps Expertise

  • Serve as the in-house FinOps expert, providing insights on cost optimization strategies and best practices.
  • Collaborate with customers to analyze cloud cost trends, uncover inefficiencies, and recommend actionable optimizations.
  • Test and validate FinOpsly platform features to ensure they align with customer needs and industry standards.


Product Feedback and Collaboration

  • Work alongside the product team to refine and enhance features like cost allocation, wastage identification, and optimization workflows.
  • Provide real-world insights and feedback to improve the FinOps Agent (FI) for better usability and accuracy.
  • Conduct workshops and webinars to demonstrate platform capabilities to users and stakeholders.


Customer Advocacy

  • Assist customers in adopting FinOps best practices using FinOpsly.
  • Partner with customer success teams to implement efficient cloud cost management frameworks for our clients.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers, ensuring they achieve maximum value from our platform.


Cloud Cost Analysis & Reporting

  • Utilize the FinOpsly platform to analyze cloud usage, optimize shared and dedicated environments, and deliver actionable insights.
  • Design and share reports/dashboards showcasing cost optimization progress and cloud efficiency.
  • Help customers implement proper tagging strategies and cost allocation methodologies.


Internal FinOps Advocacy

  • Stay informed about the latest trends in cloud pricing, FinOps methodologies, and emerging technologies.
  • Drive thought leadership by contributing to blogs, whitepapers, and case studies for FinOpsly's knowledge base.
  • Mentor internal teams on FinOps principles to ensure alignment across the company.


Qualifications

Experience:

  • 3+ years in FinOps, cloud cost management, cloud engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their cost management tools.

Skills:

  • Hands-on experience in analyzing cloud bills, optimizing cloud usage, and identifying wastage.
  • Familiarity with FinOps tools like Apptio Cloudability, CloudZero, CloudHealth, and CloudCheckr.
  • Basic scripting knowledge (Python, SQL) to work with data or automate tasks is a plus.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and reporting.


Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills to explain technical and financial insights to stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment with a product-first mindset.
  • Problem-solving attitude with a strong focus on customer success.

Preferred Certifications

  • FinOps Certified Practitioner or Advanced FinOps Certification.
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or equivalent for Azure/GCP.
