Wakefit delivers to more than 19,000 pin codes in India through these channels. With 3x growth in revenue since inception, Wakefit has also maintained profitability since 2016.

Wakefit's revenues were around INR 199 crore ($26.73 mn) in FY20, and it grew to Rs 410 crore ($55.08 mn) in FY21. Thus, the company achieved more than 2X growth from FY20.

The company has clocked in an annualized revenue run rate of Rs 700 crore, which is 2X the rate it saw in the last financial year, as per the reports dated November 11, 2021.

Wakefit has now been valued at INR 2,790 crore (around $375 mn), as of November 2021, which is a significant jump from INR 1,900 crore in 2020. The company also instituted employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) buyback worth INR 15 crore for the benefit of the early employees of the company. Wakefit is also launching retail stores across locations as a part of expansion.

Description:


A Warehouse Executive plays a crucial role in managing and overseeing the daily operations of a warehouse. The responsibilities of a Warehouse Executive can vary depending on the size and nature of the warehouse, but generally include the following:


Roles & Responsibilities:


1. Inventory Management:

  • Supervise and control inventory levels to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
  • Implement and maintain efficient inventory tracking systems.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile variances.


2. Order Fulfilment:

  • Oversee the picking, packing, and shipping of orders to meet customer requirements.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely order processing.
  • Monitor and improve order fulfillment processes for efficiency.


3. Receiving and Inspection:

  • Coordinate the receiving of incoming goods and ensure accuracy in quantity and quality.
  • Conduct inspections to identify damaged or defective items.
  • Work with suppliers and vendors to resolve discrepancies.


4. Warehouse Organization:

  • Optimize warehouse layout for efficient space utilization.
  • Implement and maintain organized storage systems.
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment.


5. Team Management:

  • Supervise warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Schedule and assign tasks to warehouse personnel.
  • Foster a positive working environment and encourage teamwork.


6. Quality Control:

  • Implement and enforce quality control measures.
  • Monitor product integrity and compliance with quality standards.
  • Address and resolve quality issues promptly.


7. Technology Utilization:

  • Use warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technology tools to optimize operations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements for continuous improvement.


8. Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, transactions, and other warehouse activities.
  • Generate and analyze reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs).


9. Health and Safety Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.


10. Communication:

  • Communicate effectively with other departments, suppliers, and customers.
