Job Description :

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in tech startups, possess proficiency in Python, and demonstrate the ability to manage a team of DevOps analysts. Exposure to working with an algorithmic-based trading firm will be considered a significant advantage.

Responsibilities :

Leadership and Team Management :

- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the trade operations team.

- Handling a team that would be managing operations across multiple geographies.

- Manage, mentor, and guide a team of DevOps analysts to ensure seamless execution of trading strategies.

- Foster a collaborative and innovative work culture within the team.

Trade Execution and Operations :

- Ensure the timely and accurate execution of trades across various financial instruments.

- Monitor and manage trading infrastructure and systems to maintain high availability and reliability.

Technology Integration and Enhancement :

- Collaborate with the technology team to develop and enhance trading tools and systems.

- Implement best practices and cutting-edge solutions to optimize trade operations.

- Automate infrastructure using tools like docker, ansible

- Enhance monitoring, alerting stack

- Create airflow dags for different data processes, exchange related file downloads etc.

Risk Management :

- Assess and mitigate risks associated with trading operations and technology systems.

- Develop and implement risk management protocols and controls.

Security and Cybersecurity Management :

- Develop and implement robust data security policies, protocols, and procedures to safeguard sensitive trading data and information.

- Maintain a thorough understanding of the company's data flow and infrastructure, identifying areas that require additional security measures.

Qualifications :

- Ability to work with little or no supervision while operating within the team.

- Experience building scalable infrastructure on the cloud (preferably) and On-Premises

- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in trade/tech operations within tech startups or Algo trading firms.

- Strong proficiency in Python and scripts.

- Proven track record of managing and leading teams effectively.

- Experience in working with DevOps methodologies and tools for trade operations.

- Familiarity with algorithmic trading company operations and exposure to trading in financial instruments will be a plus.

- In-depth knowledge of financial markets and trading concepts.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

- High-level understanding of infrastructure, networking and security principles.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field
