This domain covers various responsibilities, from IT logistics, virtualization, storage, containers, integration technologies, to data center management. What you’ll do:As noted above, this list is intended to reflect the current job, but additional functions may not be referenced. We are seeking a skilled and proactive Redis Engineer to join our Data Movement team. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in installing, configuring, maintaining, and providing production support for Redis instances (both standalone and clustered setups). You will also be responsible for automating operational tasks and ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability of our Redis deployments.Maintenance and Support:Install, configure, and maintain Redis (standalone, clustered, and sentinel configurations) in development, testing, and production environments.Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve Redis-related production issues to ensure system reliability and performance.Design and implement high-availability and disaster recovery strategies for Redis deployments.Develop automation scripts and tools (using Bash, Python, Ansible, Terraform, etc.) to streamline Redis infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and monitoring.Work closely with development and operations teams to optimize data storage, caching, and real-time messaging performance.Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting for Redis using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or equivalent.Perform routine maintenance tasks, including upgrades, patching, and backup/restore processes.Participate in on-call rotations to support Redis infrastructure during off-hours.Maintain documentation of configurations, standard operating procedures, and best practices.Security Management: Implement and manage security measures to protect IT infrastructure from cyber threats and ensure compliance with security policies.Collaboration: Work closely with other IT professionals, including network engineers, system administrators, and security specialists, to ensure seamless integration and operation of IT systems.All you’ll need for success:Education & Prior Job Experience:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/trainingMust be willing to work varying shifts (Day, Night, Split, or weekends)Preferred Qualifications:Education & Prior Job Experience:Master‘s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/trainingExperience implementing and supporting large scale Enterprise platformsExperience implementing Distributed Caching solutionsExperience with Redis Enterprise in production environments is a plus.Exposure to other NoSQL databases or in-memory data stores (e.g., Memcached, Cassandra).Experience working in agile environments and DevOps culture.Airline Industry experience is a plusSkills, Licenses & Certifications:All candidates will need 3+ years’ experience with:Solid understanding of clustering, persistence mechanisms (RDB, AOF), and replication.3+ years‘ experience with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)3+ years of hands-on experience with Redis in production environments is a plus.Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Go.Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible.Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes.Strong Linux system administration skills.Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.Solid understanding of networking concepts, performance tuning, monitoring, and security in containerized platforms.Understand data security, privacy and controls related to file transfers PCI/PIIFamiliarity with workflow and ITSM tools and ticketing systemsExcellent customer service skills with the ability to interface at all levels of the organizationExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently and perform in a collaborative, team-based environmentLanguage, Communication Skills, & Physical Abilities:Ability to effectively communicate verbally and written with all organizational levelsPhysical ability necessary to perform the position’s essential functions safely and successfully, with or without any legally required reasonable accommodations that do not pose an undue hardship.
