Job Title: Production Manager (Fastener Manufacturing Company Experience Preferred)


Location: Faridabad, Haryana


Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Production Manager to join our nut manufacturing plant. The Production Manager will oversee all aspects of production, ensuring efficient operations, high-quality output, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in manufacturing, with a strong background in operating nut formers and a proven track record of leadership in a production environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage day-to-day production activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimisation, to meet production targets and customer demand.
  2. Supervise and mentor production staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce.
  3. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety awareness and proactive risk mitigation among production team members.
  4. Optimize production processes and procedures to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize downtime, utilizing lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  5. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production output, quality, and efficiency, implementing corrective actions as needed to address deviations from targets.
  6. Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to maintain and repair production equipment, ensuring maximum uptime and reliability.
  7. Develop and implement quality control measures to ensure that products meet specifications and customer requirements, conducting regular inspections and audits.
  8. Coordinate with procurement and inventory management teams to ensure adequate supply of raw materials and components for production activities.
  9. Drive initiatives for cost reduction, productivity improvement, and waste reduction, seeking opportunities to optimize resources and streamline operations.
  10. Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in nut manufacturing and production management, incorporating relevant innovations into plant operations.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing, with a focus on nut manufacturing and production management.
  3. Strong background in operating nut formers and other production equipment, with hands-on experience in troubleshooting and maintenance.
  4. Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse production team to achieve operational excellence.
  5. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in manufacturing environments, with a commitment to promoting a culture of safety and compliance.
  6. Proficiency in lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement methodologies, and production management systems.
  7. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and implement effective solutions.
  8. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and levels of the organization.
  9. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  10. Willingness to work flexible hours and be on-call as needed to address production emergencies or operational issues.
