Tuna Software Solutions is looking for a

Software Architect

to lead the technical direction of our diverse product ecosystem, including

self-ordering kiosks, mobile applications, ticketing platforms, loyalty platforms, and POS integrations . The ideal candidate will have a

deep understanding of scalable architectures, cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure), and microservices . They will collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring that all solutions align with business objectives, security standards, and performance benchmarks.As a

Software Architect , you will be responsible for defining technical standards, improving system reliability, and guiding development teams toward best practices in Agile environments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Architectural Strategy & System Design

Define

high-level architecture

for Tuna Software Solutions' projects, ensuring

scalability, security, and maintainability .Design and oversee

microservices, APIs, and cloud-native architectures .Create

system integration plans

for POS systems (e.g., Oracle MICROS Simphony, Toast, VenueNXT, Paytronix).Develop

technical roadmaps

to modernize and optimize existing applications and platforms.2. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

Work closely with

Product Owners (POs), Business Analysts (BAs), and UI/UX teams

to align technical solutions with business requirements.Collaborate with

DevOps engineers

to ensure

CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and cloud deployments

follow industry best practices.Guide and mentor

development teams

on

coding best practices, security guidelines, and system performance improvements .3. Security, Performance & Scalability

Implement

security best practices

(e.g., OAuth, JWT, API security, data encryption) to protect customer data.Define

performance benchmarks

for application and infrastructure components.Optimize system architecture to handle

high-traffic loads in real-time environments

(e.g., amusement parks, food ordering kiosks).4. Technology Evaluation & Innovation

Research and recommend

emerging technologies, frameworks, and best practices

to improve product development.Lead decision-making on

technology stacks , ensuring alignment with business needs.Stay updated on

cloud computing trends, AI/ML integrations, and edge computing

for future innovations.5. Agile & Development Lifecycle Support

Assist in

backlog refinement

by helping teams break down technical user stories.Participate in

Sprint Planning & Retrospectives , ensuring architectural concerns are addressed.Review

code, technical documentation, and system designs

to maintain high-quality standards.

Required Skills & Experience:

Technical Skills:

Software Architecture & Design:

Experience in designing

high-performance distributed systems .Programming Expertise:

Strong background in

Kotlin (KMP/KMM), Java, .NET, TypeScript, or JavaScript .Cloud Computing & Infrastructure:

Experience with

AWS, GCP, or Azure , including serverless architectures and Kubernetes.API & Microservices:

Expertise in

RESTful APIs, GraphQL, event-driven architectures .Database Management:

Strong understanding of

SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MSSQL, Snowflake)

and

NoSQL databases .DevOps & CI/CD:

Knowledge of

GitHub Actions, Terraform, OpenTofu, Kubernetes, Docker .Security & Compliance:

Familiarity with

SOC 2, GDPR, PCI DSS , and best security practices.Soft Skills:

Strong

problem-solving and critical thinking skills .Ability to

mentor development teams and provide technical leadership .Excellent

communication skills

for engaging with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

8+ years of experience

in software development and architecture.Experience in

POS integrations

(Oracle MICROS, Toast, Paytronix, PosiTouch).Familiarity with

self-ordering kiosks, mobile app ecosystems, or cloud-based platforms .Experience working in

Agile/Scrum environments .Prior experience in

Family Entertainment Centers (FECs) or restaurant tech solutions

is a plus.
