Role Description :

As a Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer at Gloify, you will play a critical role in maintaining our high standards of software quality. You will leverage your expertise in test automation frameworks and methodologies to create robust and efficient automated test suites.

You will work closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle to identify testing requirements, design test cases, and execute both automated and manual tests. Your strong analytical skills and attention to detail will be essential in identifying and reporting defects, ensuring their timely resolution, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our QA processes.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable automated test frameworks and test scripts using tools like Cucumber/Selenium and the Karate framework.

- Identify test cases suitable for automation and prioritize automation efforts based on risk and business impact.

- Implement and integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure continuous testing.

- Develop and maintain test data and test environments for automated testing.

- Analyze requirements, user stories, and technical specifications to create comprehensive and well-structured test cases for both automated and manual testing.

- Execute manual test cases efficiently and accurately, identifying and documenting defects with clear and concise information.

- Participate actively in all phases of the software development lifecycle, providing QA input and ensuring quality is built into the product from the beginning.

- Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.

- Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking systems, ensuring timely resolution and verification.

- Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements, clarify ambiguities, and provide timely feedback on software quality.

- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and other agile ceremonies.

- Communicate test results, defect status, and overall quality metrics effectively to stakeholders.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in QA methodologies, automation tools, and cloud-related technologies.

- Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the enhancement of our QA practices and automation frameworks.

- Mentor and guide junior QA team members on automation best practices.

- Gain or leverage existing experience in testing applications and services deployed on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Understand the specific testing considerations for cloud-based environments.

Qualifications :

Experience :

- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and Software Testing.

- Proven experience in designing, developing, and implementing test automation frameworks and scripts.

- Hands-on experience with Cucumber and Selenium for web application automation.

- Experience with the Karate framework for API automation is highly desirable.

- Experience with manual testing methodologies and techniques.

- Experience working in Agile development environments.

- Strong understanding of Quality Assurance principles, methodologies, and best practices.

- Proficiency in creating well-defined and comprehensive Test Cases.

- Solid knowledge of QA Automation concepts and frameworks.

- Experience with at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python) used for test automation.

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests.

- Understanding of RESTful APIs and experience in API testing.

- Knowledge of database testing.

- Exposure to cloud-related technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure) and their testing considerations.

- Experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
