Location: Pune, Hyderabad, Bangalore (Hybrid)

Experience Level: 5+ years


Role Overview:

We are seeking talented and experienced Java AWS Developers to join our team at Virtusa. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in Java, microservices, and AWS, with hands-on experience in designing and implementing robust, scalable, and secure cloud-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain microservices-based applications using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Design and implement solutions leveraging AWS services such as EKS, EC2, Lambda, and cloud monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog, CloudWatch).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features and solutions.
  • Implement and manage XACML Authorization policies to ensure secure access control.
  • Work with databases including NoSQL (Cassandra) and SQL databases (Aurora, Oracle).
  • Develop and integrate Web Services (SOAP and RESTful with JSON formats) and messaging systems (e.g., Kafka).
  • Leverage tools and frameworks for test automation (e.g., BDD, Cucumber) to ensure quality and performance.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize applications using cloud monitoring tools.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in Java, J2EE, and Spring Boot.
  • Experience in microservices architecture and development.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with AWS services (EKS, EC2, Lambda).
  • Knowledge of cloud monitoring tools such as Datadog and CloudWatch.
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases like Cassandra and relational databases such as Aurora and Oracle.
  • Experience in Web Services (SOAP and RESTful) and messaging tools like Kafka.
  • Knowledge of XACML Authorization policies.
  • Experience in development and testing frameworks such as BDD and Cucumber.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
  • Experience in designing and implementing distributed systems.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
