Get to Know the Opportunity:

The Tidal-Axway Administrator provides technical input to Voya to ensure the integrity of the operations environment and has some experience in adjacent technologies and understands the complex interworking’s between them. Deep technical subject matter expert that performs tasks on critical systems within the relative Workload Automation and File Transfer Applications, including hardware and software configuration settings.


Role : Tidal-Axway Administrator

Years of Experience: 11 years to 15years.

Location : Bangalore, Pune, Chennai.


The Contributions You’ll Make:

  • Provide Tidal and Axway support between 7:30am and 6:00pm as part of team with offset start / finish times.

Quickly and correctly diagnose Tidal outages, resolve the problem, and recover the system and batch processes.

  • Handle licensing of the Tidal application.
  • Handle planning and execution of upgrades & Migrations.
  • Open vendor support tickets, apply recommended solutions and verify results.
  • Install and configure Tidal agents on new servers.
  • Work with the Network team to resolve DNS and connectivity issues for the Tidal application.
  • Work with Security team to apply new Service IDs and resolve Tidal access problems.
  • Work with cloud server team to install required versions of server software (.NET, JRE, etc.)
  • Work with DBA team to maintain Tidal database.
  • Move approved job schedules into Production.
  • Mange jobs to disable or enable as needed.
  • Advise developers on job efficiency and making the most of Tidal tools.
  • Advise developers on navigating ServiceNow request process.
  • Help users resolve browser problems in accessing Tidal’s GUI.
  • Troubleshoot job inconsistencies and job failures with developers.
  • Evaluate new offerings and adapters offered by Tidal as to cost and value and function.
  • Participate in Application and Tidal DR tests.
  • Clean-up and deletion of obsolete processes, Tidal agents, and their artifacts.
  • Creating a weekly Archiving for job recovery in both Test and Prod.
  • Completing Tidal request tickets.
  • Adding/deleting new users.
  • Assisting developers with job configurations if requested or when issues arise from improperly configured jobs.
  • Manage and maintain the Tidal SharePoint site and upload workload summary reports.
  • Coordinating the activities and resolving Tidal issues as experienced by the Operators.
  • Changing and updating passwords for Tidal Service IDs and for IDs used internally by Tidal.
  • Make changes to Axway configuration and other administrative tasks.
  • Meet with users to get transfer requirements and operational details of proposed Axway transfer accounts.
  • Create transfer accounts for partner companies to use for sending or receiving files.
  • Create or delete user accounts that have Admin or Operations access to the Axway application.
  • Create Axway transfer “jobs”.
  • Assist in testing those jobs, modifying as needed until they work properly.
  • Troubleshooting issues with transfer failures.
  • Assist the business users who use Axway’s web client to send adhoc files to partners. (Contracts, real estate documents, etc.)
  • Cleaning out old files in directories to prevent filling up the storage drive.
  • Sending out password expiration reminders and changing the service ID passwords when it is required.
  • Assisting the network team to rework jobs that cause issues with delaying downloads or uploads.
  • Capturing and reporting metrics from Axway.
  • Be available for on-call and Weekend (Sunday) maintenance work on a rotational basis.
  • Works collaboratively with other IT functions.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Knowledge & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering and/or 5-8 years of professional IT work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in similar position and Tidal Enterprise Scheduling Application.
  • Working knowledge of Axway Secure Transport application
  • Working in a managed services environment preferred but not required.
  • 2 years’ experience working with ServiceNow or similar tool for Work intake, Change and Incident Management creation and tracking.
  • One or more industry certifications preferred but not required.


Minimum Knowledge & Experience:

  • Deep subject matter expertise in the Tidal Enterprise Scheduling tool.
  • Knowledge of the Axway Secure Transport application.
  • Strong Excel skills and familiarity with macros and pivot tables.
  • Familiarity with MS SQL Studio Manager and the SQL query language.
  • Familiarity with DOS commands, SQL queries, Regular Expression Language, PowerShell, VBA, and using the command line in Windows
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow.
  • Understanding of Change Management, Release Management, Incident Management & Problem Management
  • Understanding or Disaster Recovery & Contingency planning
