Position Overview

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, implementing, and maintaining data solutions on the Azure platform. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, architect solutions, and implement pipelines to enable data-driven decision-making. This role requires a deep understanding of data engineering principles, Azure services, and best practices for data storage, processing, and analytics.


Must have: Telecom Domain knowledge.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architect for reviews and required approvals for aligning overall architecture.
  • Create, maintain and manage application architecture models and its lower-level components work within a Scrum or Agile development environment.
  • Consult teams at onsite/offsite to provide technical solutions for complex services.

  • Establish and maintain compliance with standards and procedures for design, development, testing, and documentation, contributing to high quality, reliable systems that meet or exceed business needs.
  • Formulate and define scope, objectives and technical direction for new or modified web applications and lead systems analysis, design, and development and implementation efforts.
  • Identify ways to reduce costs in IT and business leadership.
  • Evaluate systems for discrepancies or vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct research to find ways to improve operations.
  • Build and maintain appropriate Enterprise Architecture artefacts including Entity Relationship Models, Data dictionary, taxonomy to aid data traceability.
  • Provide technical oversight to solution delivery in creating business driven solutions adhering to the enterprise architecture and data governance standards.
  • Be an advocate of data security principles and ensure appropriate security practices are embedded in any data strategy.
  • be an active contributor to how the organization evolves Data Governance practices and influence the adoption of data standards.
  • Deep hands-on experience of relational and dimensional data modelling.
  • Support technical architects in conducting PoCs , including cost evaluations, of various cloud services and other tools
  • Communicate with analytics, BI, data science and any other teams that consume the data in the DWH and Enterprise Data Lake
  • Develop data ingress frameworks using microsoft fabric, Azure, Databricks, Python, PySpark, SQL
  • Design the Workflow Orchestration using Airflow.
  • manage releases.
  • Oversee testing.
  • Data oriented personality, great communication skills, and an excellent eye for detail.
  • Must be able to interface with and manage relationships with businesspeople and technologists at senior levels showing competence in both areas.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentor technical staff.


Qualifications

  • bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience leading architecture and engineering teams.
  • Experience working on large strategic customer accounts as a senior architect.
  • Experience in explaining how technology services can solve business problems and help achieve business strategy.
  • proficient experience with data architecture and modelling tools such as sParx, Erwin, and Archi.
