Given the unique challenges and complexities associated with setting up a completely new set of equipment, the candidate can support the ME Team in ramping equipment to manufacturing for the 116 Ah production line.


Strategic Alignment: As our Giga Factory is the first of its size, parallel ramping of 500-odd equipment requires experienced hands to define equipment specifications to the technology provider and ensure critical process control. Coordination with the project facilities team is crucial to meeting facility, power, air, and environmental requirements. The complexity of the equipment necessitates a deep understanding of process and equipment integration, making hiring for this position crucial to achieving our operational goals.


Purpose of the job / Objective

Work with cross-functional teams to Test, Validate, and Roll-out Equipment to production.


Role and Responsibilities:


  1. Shop Floor Leadership

Mandatory Skills:


  1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operation/Maintenance Management, or a related field
  2. Proven track record of successful leadership in a high-volume manufacturing environment, knowledge of data analysis, statistics, SPC, RCA, and expertise in SolidWorks or other 3D CAD software
  3. In-depth understanding of automation systems, mechanical engineering, PLCs, robotics, data collection systems, cutting-edge equipment, and evolving technologies
  4. Demonstrated ability to inspire and lead teams towards operational excellence, bringing out the best in each team member
  5. Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills, honed through practical experience in navigating complex manufacturing scenarios
  6. Thorough knowledge of safety regulations and quality control standards, with a track record of flawless compliance
  7. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, fostering an inclusive communicative environment
