Buyer Indirect Procurement

The position is responsible for NPR spend for India. The position is part of Regional Procurement Team. Main purpose is sourcing for spend in India, local stake holder management, negotiating the contracts for NPR buying as well as managing the P2P process for the same.Contributes to the execution of the sales, expense and profitability targets established by the business by managing by effective management of NPR spend, within the policies and guidelines established by AkzoNobel sourcing and within business unit requirements, to ensure an uninterrupted and timely supply at optimum cost within specs.Manage Source-to-Contract (S2C) process, including supplier sourcing, bidding, negotiating, contracting, and performance reviews.Maintain and manage vendor information, catalogues, approval workflows to ensure seamless execution of the NPR buying process.Training for end-users on procurement policies, tools, and systems.Responsibilities:Spend & Business Unit Coverage – Oversee NPR procurement for all business units in India. Vendor & Supplier Management – Maintain reliable supplier relationships, ensure performance, and explore alternative sourcing. Data & Reporting – Provide procurement insights, optimize purchasing data, and support forecasting. Procurement Process – Ensure an efficient 'Purchase-to-Pay' process aligned with organizational needs. Compliance & Standards – Adhere to corporate policies, HSE regulations, and audit requirements. Requisition & Quotation Handling – Manage purchase requisitions, request and compare supplier quotations. Order & Delivery Management – Process purchase orders, ensure on-time, in-full delivery, and maintain documentation. Invoice & Budget Control – Oversee vendor payments, ensure budget compliance, and enforce supplier adherence to company policies.Job Requirements:Professional Bachelor Degree required Min 5-7 years of Indirect BuyingERP experience –SAP, CoupaTechnical Tactical and Strategic Sourcing experienceExceptional problem-solving and analytical skills Good planning/project management skillsGood communication skills and command of EnglishGood negotiation skillsIndependent, proactive and keen to drive change and improvements.
