Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Sales Leader to spearhead our US Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy on an initial consultancy basis. This role offers the opportunity to transition to a full-time position based on performance within 3-6 months. The ideal candidate will have a minimum 15 years of proven success in selling enterprise solutions primarily within the US. This role requires a strategic thinker with a robust network and a deep understanding of enterprise sales, preferably within the services domain. Experience with AI/SaaS sales is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive GTM strategy for the US market, aligning with Akaike AI's overall business objectives.
- Enterprise Sales: Drive sales growth by acquiring new enterprise customers and expanding existing relationships. Utilise their extensive network to open doors and build lasting partnerships.
- Revenue Generation: Achieve and exceed sales targets through effective pipeline management, strategic planning, and strong negotiation skills.
- Market Penetration: Identify and capitalise on new market opportunities, leveraging insights into industry trends and customer needs.
- Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Customer Focus: Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction and loyalty by understanding their unique challenges and delivering tailored AI solutions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing and product, to drive cohesive and integrated sales efforts.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 15 years in enterprise sales, with a strong focus on services sales. Experience in SaaS sales and working in a startup is highly desirable.
- Bonus: Experience in building and scaling sales team(s) from scratch in the US.
- Network: Established and robust network within the enterprise sector, with the ability to leverage relationships to drive business growth.
- Track Record: Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets, with demonstrated success in leading complex sales cycles.
- Leadership: Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor a sales team.
- Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic and analytical thinking skills, with the ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies.
