Position Overview:


We are offering a design internship opportunity for a duration of 6 months, aimed at providing hands-on experience and exposure to the intricacies of jewelry design. This internship serves as a platform for aspiring designers to refine their skills, unleash their creativity, and gain insights into the dynamic world of jewelry craftsmanship. Exceptional performance during the internship may lead to a full-time job offer with Nine Jewellery.


Key Responsibilities:


  1. Collaborate with the design team to conceptualize and develop innovative jewelry designs that align with Nine Jewellery's brand identity and market trends.
  2. Assist in the creation of detailed sketches, CAD drawings, and prototypes for new jewelry collections.
  3. Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate fresh ideas and concepts for upcoming projects.
  4. Contribute to the design process from initial ideation to final product development, ensuring adherence to quality standards and design specifications.
  5. Conduct research on emerging trends, materials, and techniques in the jewelry industry to stay informed and inspired.
  6. Support the design team in various administrative tasks, including organizing design files, maintaining design databases, and preparing presentations.


Qualifications:


  • Recently completed a degree/diploma in Jewelry Design, Fashion Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
  • Past experience in related field is preferred.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Rhino, or CAD/CAM programs is preferred.
  • Strong conceptualisation and sketching skills, with an eye for detail and aesthetics.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Passion for jewelry design, with a keen interest in exploring new techniques and materials.
  • Prior internship or work experience in the jewelry industry is an advantage, but not mandatory.
