Job Title: HVAC Design Engineer

Experience : 5-8 Years

Job Summary:

The role involves performing load calculations, equipment selection, duct and piping design, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of MEP coordination, energy efficiency, and HVAC system optimization.

Key Responsibilities:


• Design HVAC systems including heating, cooling, ventilation, and air distribution systems.


• Perform heat load calculations, cooling load calculations, and airflow analysis using software like HAP, Trace 700, or Carrier E-20.


•Select and size HVAC equipment (chillers, AHUs, FCUs, heat exchangers, pumps, etc.) based on project requirements.


•Design ductwork, piping layouts, and control systems using AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and Navisworks.


•Ensure designs comply with ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, and local building codes.


•Perform energy efficiency analysis and optimize HVAC systems for cost and sustainability.


•Coordinate with MEP engineers, architects, and contractors for system integration.


•Prepare technical reports, specifications, and design documentation for project approvals.


•Assist in tendering, cost estimation, and bid evaluations for HVAC systems.


•Support project execution by providing technical guidance during installation and commissioning.

Qualifications & Skills:


•Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.


•5+ years of experience in HVAC design and engineering.


•Proficiency in HVAC design software (HAP, Trace 700, Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Carrier E-20).


•Strong knowledge of duct and pipe sizing, psychrometrics, and refrigeration cycles.


•Familiarity with ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, and other HVAC standards.


•Experience in energy modeling and sustainable HVAC system design.


•Ability to troubleshoot HVAC system performance issues.


•Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:


•Certification in HVAC design (ASHRAE, LEED AP, or similar).


•Experience working on international projects (Gulf region, US, UK, etc.).
